Fitness and
Conditioning
Course # 4151
After successful completion of High School Physical Education (Course No. 4150), the student will have the opportunity to choose from three semester long electives intended to be a culmination of their physical education experience.
In choosing this course, Fitness and Conditioning, the student will participate in a variety of activities to work at improving the students fitness level, flexibility, and cardio vascular conditioning. All of the activities will be individually personal fitness improvement. A major emphasis will be on weight room use. Attempts will be made to adjust the activities to meet the specific needs of the student.
This course may be repeated for non-PE credit

( Sit-Ups, Pull-Ups, Flex Stretch, Mile )
Daily Participation

PPFC (Presidents Physical Fitness Challenge)
Testing criteria and grading scale bases on age / sex appropriate
national averages from the Presidential Physical Fitness Council.
Participation Grade
Each class is worth a possible 5 points
Five points awarded daily for “A” effort
Points deducted for effort less than “A” work
Loss of all 5 points and no participation for improper PE Clothing
Attendance - Absences will result in a loss of all 5 points for that day,
regardless of reason for being gone. Make-up work for those absences
needs to be completed within 15 calendar days by doing an online Make-Up article review.
School policy will be followed regarding absences and make-up.
Grading Scale
A = 94 %
A- = 90 %
B+ = 88 %
B = 85%
B- = 80 %
C+ = 78 %
C = 75 %
C- = 70%
D+ = 68 %
D = 65 %
D- = 60 %

Procedures

- Be in assigned area ready for class 5 min. after bell.
- Dismissed to locker room with eight to ten minutes remaining
- Leaving supervised area prior to bell will be considered truant
- Report all injuries to PE Instructor Ice/First Aid is available
- Lock you locker at all times Locked lockers are secure, locker rooms are not
